Buc-ee’s giant car wash at its Katy travel center has been officially recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s longest.

On Thursday, a representative from the UK-based Guinness Worlds Records presented Buc-ee’s co-founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin with the certificate acknowledging the nearly football-field long car wash.

The Texas car wash has a 255-foot-long (78 meters) conveyor belt as well as a state-of-the-art vacuum station and 21 blowers.

The Buc-ee’s location, which also includes an impressive 120 gas pumps, opened last August proclaiming itself as the “longest car wash in America”, according to Guinness World Records

Arch Aplin explained that the car wash can clean about 1,500 vehicles a day. Because of its length and the number of brushes, they are able to use less water to clean the cars than at smaller operations, said Aplin.

Buc-ee’s is a chain of convenience stores located in across Texas.
